Creative Movement I
• Ages 3-4
This program introduces the young child to the wonderful world of dance through stimulating instruction. We challenge the child’s imagination while teaching muscle coordination and control, muscular patterning, musicality, rhythm and flexibility. Creative Movement classes last 45 minutes and meet once a week.
Dress Code for Creative Movement I & II: Girls – solid plain black leotard (no skirt attached), pale pink tights, blue sock on right foot, pink sock on left foot, hair up in a neat secure bun with bobby pins and a hair net around the bun, pink ballet shoes with elastic. Boys – solid white t-shirt, black tights or shorts or sweatpants, white socks, black ballet shoes with elastic.
Creative Movement I class times:
Mondays 9:30-10:15, Tuesdays 4:00-4:45 & 6:00-6:45, Saturdays 9:00-9:45
Creative Movement II
• Age 4 second year students, only
This program is a slightly more advanced and structured version of Creative Movement I
Dress Code for Creative Movement II: same as Creative Movement I
Creative Movement II class times:
Tuesdays 6:00-6:45, Wednesdays 4:00-4:45, Saturdays 9:00-9:45
Combination Classes
• Ages 5-8
Students ages 5-8 are required to take a combination class of basics – ballet and tap. Students ages 9 and older may take single classes of ballet or tap or jazz or modern.
Dress Code: Same as Creative Movement, but blue and pink socks are not required. Black tap shoes must have elastic, not ribbon or Velcro.

Classical Ballet
• Ages 8 and older
Enter the romantic world of classical ballet. Develop a more beautiful body through the great traditional ballet exercises, taught with careful attention to the individual student’s physical and emotional needs. A solid ballet technique will serve as an invaluable foundation for almost any other kind of dancing, and, at the very least, will give the student a strong and graceful body.
Dress Code: Same as Creative Movement, but socks are not required. Skirts may be worn in pre-pointe and pointe classes only.

Ballet J- ages 8 and older beginners Wednesdays 6:45-7:45
Ballet E- Intermediate 1 teen/adult ballet Mondays 5:15-6:30
Ballet C- Intermediate 2 teen/adult ballet Tuesdays 6:15-7:30
Ballet B- Intermediate 3 teen/adult ballet Mondays 7:45-9:30, Tuesdays 7:30-9:30 (this includes pointe).
Ballet A- Advanced teen/adult ballet & pointe Mondays 7:30-9:30 (this included pointe), Tuesdays 7:30-9:30 (this includes pointe), Wednesdays 4:30-6:00.

Pointe & Pre-pointe
• Ages 9 and older
All Pointe and Pre-pointe students must take 2 additional ballet classes per week and must be approved by the instructor
Dress Code: Same as Creative Movement, but socks are not required. Pointe shoes may be worn when approved by the instructor. Demi-pointe shoes should be worn in Pre-pointe classes. Skirts may be worn in pre-pointe and pointe classes.
The following classes must be assigned by an instructor:
• Pre-pointe 1 class Fridays 6:00-7:00 (An extra ballet class is offered on Fridays, 5:00-6:00)
• Pre-pointe 2 class Thursdays 7:45-8:45 (An extra ballet class is offered on Thursdays, 6:45-7:45)
Modern Dance Classes
• Ages 9 - Adult
The study of various techniques developed by 20th century masters like Limon and Taylor. Strong emphasis on placement, alignment and movement quality. Students will have the opportunity to develop their own choreography for an informal showcase.
Dress Code:Same as Tap, but footless tights and no shoes.

Modern B (intermediate level) Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 - must be assigned to this class by the director
Modern C (lower intermediate level) Thursdays 6:30-7:30 must be assigned to this class by the director
Modern D (Older Beginner) Thursdays 7:30-8:30 - must be assigned to this class by the director.

Tap
Ages 8 and older
Tap Dance is a unique, American Art Form, which, like the American experience, combines a wide selection of ethnic influences to create a new dance. Tap Dancing stresses rhythm and sound and fosters discipline and precision, giving the student a sense of freedom and creativity.
Dress Code: black leotard, black tights or black jazz pants. Hair must be pulled back into a neat, secure ponytail. Black tap shoes must have elastic, not ribbon or Velcro. Black jazz oxfords with taps may be worn.

Tap B (Intermediate ) Mondays 7:45-8:45 - must be assigned to this class by the director

Jazz
• Ages 5 and older
(Students 5-8 are required to attend a combination class in addition to jazz class).
Jazz is an exciting, energetic dance form and style that has changed as our popular music has changed. Classes include warm-up, center technique, jazz patterns and routines. Skills, such as balance, coordination, rhythm and dynamic levels of movement, are developed to popular music.
Dress Code: Same as Tap except with black ballet shoes or black jazz oxfords.

Jazz A (Advanced) Wednesdays 6:15-7:15 - must be assigned to this class by the director.
Jazz B (Intermediate) Wednesdays 8:15-9:15 - must be assigned to this class by the director.
Jazz C (Older Beginninger, 8 and older) Wednesdays 4:30-5:15 - must be assigned to this class by the director
Jazz D (Intermediate) Wednesdays 7:15-8:15 - must be assigned to this class by the director.
Jazz E (Beginner ages 5-7) Wednesdays 5:15-6:15 - must be assigned to this class by the director.
